David Bernabé was a Recognised D.Phil. Student in the Faculty of English, and is currently a PhD student at the University of St Andrews. His thesis focuses on the relationship between the divine and nature in Tolkien's Middle-Earth. David, who has studied English and Comparative Literature at UPV/EHU, loves to explore how literature can enlarge our understanding of what is to be human. His last paper, "Myth as Rediscovery of the Earth" (2022) looks into humanity's place in the world in light of mythopoeic art.
